Science in the Park hosted by Sierra Nevada Journeys is the grand finale event happening at the 2nd Annual Northern Nevada Science and Technology Festival. Join us and our partners for hands-on STEM activities where you’ll learn about polymer chains while attempting to insert a skewer into a balloon. Or, learn about why birds have different beaks by trying out different tools that simulate a bird’s beak. This is a FREE, FAMILY EVENT and enjoy music, food and science!

Also, Smart About Water Day by Truckee Meadows Water Authority will also be on hand sharing information about water planning for growth and water resource management in the Truckee Meadows. See their full array of exhibits in the California Building and giant equipment trucks will be on display.

The day includes a line-up of several local food trucks and live music by Tyler Stafford. There will be more than 20 interactive stations where people of all ages can try out different science experiments while having fun outdoors.
