Sierra Nevada Journeys works in partnership with Summer Search, a national nonprofit that works to unleash students’ potential through mentoring and transformative experiences, to provide an engaging and empowering two-week outdoor excursion for Bay Area youth.

Sierra Nevada Journeys’ guided wilderness experience takes part in a wide range of land, water, and adventure activities that can include: preparing and planning for backcountry travel and living; use and care of tents and other backcountry gear; backcountry cooking; low-impact camping; swimming; rock climbing; whitewater rafting; forest ecology; orienteering; team-building challenges and more.
