Science Educator
Faiha is an avid lover of the natural world. Born and raised on the east coast, and having lived on the west coast for 10+ years, she has witnessed the wonders of many different biomes, animals, and plants, and is eager to share her passion for the world around us as a Science Educator. Faiha spent her undergraduate years in San Luis Obispo, California, where she studied Food Science as a major and Environmental Science as a minor, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in 2020. She plans to continue her education in environmental and marine sciences in the future.
After spending time as an orientation leader and marching band member in college, Faiha is no stranger to sharing her knowledge and passion for the things she loves. She also has experience in the food service industry — as a scientist and customer-facing worker — and looks forward to growing roots in her environmental science career as an educator with Sierra Nevada Journeys. Outside of work, Faiha loves to read fantasy and sci-fi tomes, play a wide range of video games, cook and bake for her loved ones, and visit the coast to indulge in the aquarium and tide-pooling.
